The beautiful new line of cutlery represents the latest technology and the finest steel in Damascus clad knives. Shun takes a Carbon Steel (VG-10 steel) blade and layers it with 16 pieces of high carbon stainless steel alloy (SUS 410 + Nickel Steel) to produce an amazing edge that will not rust. The ebony black laminated Pakka Wood handle is very comfortable, made in the traditional " D " shape with a stainless steel end cap and the traditional ergonomic offset bolster. The handle is designed for maximum comfort during use.
KAI has been Japan's premier blade producer for almost a century, with factories located in Seki City, Japan's famous samurai sword-making center. Blade smiths of Seki have been carrying on the tradition of fine cutlery for more than 700 years. Lifetime warranty!

Our new solid Rock Maple Magnetic Knife Block Holder is amazing. The very powerful magnets are built into the inside of the block. It is totally sealed very heavy solid rock maple! There are 5 marks on each side suggesting where to place the knives. When you get within an inch, the powerful magnets pull the knife firmly to the block. It weighs 7 lbs. and measures 10 in. x 10 in. x 3.5 in.
