Bamboo rice is short grain white rice infused with pure fresh bamboo juice. This product is all natural. When cooked, it is pale green and tends to be quite moist and viscous, causing the grains to stick together.
Chefs Note: We find this rice to be superb. Similar to Aborio rice (risotto) with a wonderful flavor. We saute onions and garlic, add rice, brown a bit, add chicken stock and a bay leaf, S & P, cover & simmer 20 minutes. This rice is perfect for sushi and as a side dish too.
